Privacy policy

This policy is about roeve.io, the website you are reading. It says what the site asks of you, what it measures, who else sees any of it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is not about the Roeve product itself, which broadcasters and advertisers use under agreements of their own.

Roeve Adaptive Intelligence is the Data Fiduciary for what this site collects, and you are the Data Principal — the words the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 uses for the two of us. That Act, and the Information Technology Act, 2000, are the law this document is written under.

What we ask you for

One thing, in one place. Our contact page asks for your email address, which is the only thing we require, and for your first name, your last name and a message, which are yours to fill in or to leave empty. Nothing else on this site asks you for anything.

We hold what you send so that somebody at Roeve can read it and write back. That is the only reason we hold it.

What we measure

We count page views and the pages people arrive from, so that we can see which parts of the site get read. That measurement stores nothing on your device, sets no cookie, does not identify you and does not follow you to any other site. The Cookie policy says more about it.

The company that hosts this site also handles what every web request carries — the network address it came from, and the browser making it — because a page cannot be delivered without them, and because that is how a service is kept running and defended. None of it is used to build a picture of you.

Who else sees it

The company that hosts this site handles your message in passing, because the request carrying it has to reach us somehow, and it is not given it for any purpose of its own. Past that, what you send goes to the people at Roeve who read it and no further.

We do not sell what you send us, we do not trade it, and we do not use it to advertise to you or to anybody else.

How long we keep it

For as long as the conversation it started is a live one. Ask us to delete it and we will.

What you can ask of us

You can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and what we have done with it;
• correct it, where we have it wrong;
• send you a copy of it;
• delete it;
• stop, where you had consented and have changed your mind.

Write to info@roeve.io and say which. We will not ask you for a reason.

You can also nominate somebody to exercise these rights for you, if you die or become unable to exercise them yourself. Write to us and name them.

Grievances

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, or with how we have answered a request, say so to our Grievance Officer:

We will answer within thirty days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can take the complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is not addressed to children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

When this changes

The date above the heading is the day this document last changed. If Roeve ever starts collecting something this page does not describe, the page changes before the collecting starts.
